Balboa Park
The Balboa Park grounds are open 24 hours a day, the Visitors Center is open 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. daily, and museum hours vary by institution.The world-famous San Diego Zoo is located in the northern section of Balboa Park. San Diego Zoo
The 100-acre (40-hectare) San Diego Zoo is home to over 3,700 rare and endangered animals representing more than 650 species and subspecies, and a prominent botanical collection with more than 700,000 exotic plants. It is located just north of downtown San Diego in Balboa Park.
